Los Angeles, CA, USA – September 22, 2021 – In recent months, international philanthropist, speaker, and author Michelle Jewsbury has been on a crusade sharing her message against domestic violence at conferences across the country, and she is capping off her year with an invitation to speak in the U.S. Capitol for the 3rd Annual Domestic Violence Rally on October 1st. The 3rd Annual Domestic Violence Rally will again be held in Washington D.C. Attendees and speakers will gather together once again for survivors since social mandates have been lifted. This speaking event is part of the Unsilenced Voices National Domestic Violence Awareness Tour.

Attendees of the Domestic Violence Rally are encouraged to wear their best purple outfits, bring purple pom-poms, butterflies, and signs to help speak up for each survivor who has dealt with the trauma of child abuse, sexual assault, IPV, military abuse, and sexual assault, mental abuse, and human and sex trafficking. “Let’s stand for the forgotten, the abused, and let’s not be silenced anymore. As we stand together, let stand for hope and stand for change,” said an event organizer. The Domestic Violence Rally is hosting an evening fundraiser filled with stories from survivors.

The Domestic Violence Rally is one of many events Jewsbury, the founder of Unsilenced Voices, has been invited to speak. Jewsbury is on a national speaker tour, speaking out about the perils of domestic violence. Over 20,000 women have been murdered due to domestic violence since 2003. Jewsbury, nearly became one of those women. In December of 2015, she summoned the strength to break that cycle, leave her abuser, and is now sharing her story. Unsilenced Voices exists to break the silence and end the cycle of domestic and gender-based violence worldwide.
