“Reviewed By Michelle Robertson for Readers’ Favorite

In Benjamin Weiss and the Divine Prophecy by J.A. Robertson, Benjamin Weiss is a “normal” 12-year-old boy attending school, hanging out with friends, going to dances, and going on dates. One attribute of himself that differs from many of his friends is that he is Jewish. This means he will celebrate his Bar Mitzvah soon and in the Jewish community he will become a man. Little did he know how much truth would come with that when he began his social studies term paper on “the missing children” of his hometown and discovered an evil plot 65 years in the making related to the Holocaust in Germany. Ben and his two friends, Miriam and Grady, find an old prophecy in their library that reveals, of all people, Ben himself would be the one to stop the disappearance of the town’s children and the evil plan to resurrect Germany’s past.

Benjamin Weiss and the Divine Prophecy is an excellent novel with a well-developed plot and characters. Author J. A. Robertson goes above and beyond with this mystery. The reader will find many twists and turns, and ‘ah ha’ moments, and they will be unable to resist reading on to get the answers to the mystery within in! The book is described as being suitable for young adults who enjoy a good mystery, but I would recommend that everyone, even younger readers, who enjoy both mystery and historical fiction novels pertaining to Nazi Germany, should read this book as it contains both. I absolutely loved this novel and am looking forward to a follow-up book in the future.”
