Hainan-Hong Kong-Macao Individual Yatching Forum successfully held in Sanya
On the morning of December 14, Hainan-Hong Kong-Macao Individual Yatching Forum was successfully held in Banquet Hall of Sanya Visun Royal Yatch Hotel. About 150 speakers and audiences attended the forum, including representatives of Hainan provincial and Sanya municipal authorities and participants from China, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore and Australia.
The forum was jointly hosted by Hainan Traffic and Transportation Department, of Sanya Municipal People’s Government, Hainan Port and Navigation Administration Bureau, Sanya Tourism and Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau, Sanya Bureau of Commerce, Sanya Yacht Service Co., Ltd. And Sanya Yacht Association and Hainan China-Rendez Vous Convention and Exhibition Co., Ltd. Chen Tiejun, Member of Sanya Standing Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Sanya Municipal People’s Government, Li Zhiqiang, Deputy Director of Hainan Traffic and Transportation Department and Liu Cheng, Deputy Director of Hainan Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau attended the opening ceremony.
Chen Tiejun, Member of Sanya Standing Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Sanya Municipal People’s Government extended the sincere welcome to the guests attending the forum. He said, “Focusing on the strategic positioning of building Hainan as an International Tourism Consumption Center, Sanya held the forum to exchange views with all parties in a candid manner and take joint actions to contribute positive energy to the development of yacht economy and achieve win-win cooperation. Sanya will continue to do a good job in providing high-quality services for domestic and overseas yachts, so that more yachts can “Enter Sanya and Have Fun in Many Spots”. Meanwhile, Sanya will, as always, support yacht enterprises to make the yacht industry bigger and stronger and promote the prosperity and development of Hainan’s yacht industry.”
Li Zhiqiang, Vice Director of Hainan Traffic and Transportation Department expressed that most of Hainan’s numerous bays and islands are excellent places for yachting and conducting yacht tourism activities and Hainan is one of the main destinations for cruise ships in Hong Kong and Macao.Hainan Traffic and Transportation Department will work together with friends from all walks of life to achieve innovation and reform breakthroughs. Its level of openness will be of the world’s highest standard.It’ll establish a yatch tourism management system which is suitable for making Hainan as a high-level free trade port and is internationally competitive featuring freedom and convenience as its core and creating new heights for China’s economy open-up.
Zhang Chunyu, Vice Director of Water Transportation Office of Hainan Traffic and Transportation Department gave on-site interpretation of the policy called the Implementation Plan for Allowing Hainan-Hong Kong-Macao Individual Yatching in China (Hainan) Free Trade Demo Zone and Han Jianping, Vice Director of Sany Tourism and Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau and He Dazhe, Chief Planner of Sanya Natural Resources and Planning Bureau and Xian GuoJian, Director of Sanya Bureau of Commerce presented their sharing and recommendation respectively.
Mr. Yu Chao, Postdoctoral of China Tourism Academy, made a speech on “A Research Report on the Competitiveness of Oceanic Island Tourism Consumption”.

Participants from all over China, Hong Kong, Macao and Singapore gathered here and like-minded partners were closely linked by yachts. The forum inspired wisdom and created a vision for the cooperation-enabled future. It’s believed that with various parties’ active efforts, further in-depth cooperation will be achieved soon.
After the presentations, the signing ceremony of the Yacht-and-Tourism Joint Cooperation Agreement for Hainan, Hong Kong and Macao was officially conducted.It is reported that the Yacht-and-Tourism Joint Cooperation Agreement for Hainan, Hong Kong and Macao is the cooperation consensus respectively reached between Sanya Yacht Service Co., Ltd. and Macau Nam Kwong Group and OCEANGOGO (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. on Hainan-Hong Kong-Macau Individual Yachtching for which these framework agreements have been signed to implement the strategic aspiration for multilateral cooperation and lay a foundation for cooperation of future projects.
The forum has received strong support and attention from all involved parties. In addition to the leaders of Hainan provincial and Sanya municipal authorities, it also attracted over 30 industry associations, enterprises and institutions in China, Hong Kong and Macao and over 150 guests from overseas yacht industry. Judging from the guests’ active exchanges after the meeting, the forum has been a great success.
