The Launch of Indian eVisa marks Convenience for Foreign Travelers

The Indian Visa, approved by the Indian Government, offers international travelers a 60 days visa approval for staying in India for their work or touring purposes. You do not need any physical approval on the passport for availing of the eVisa for traveling to India.

Indian eVisa is a new introduction for the ease of citizens of foreign countries to acquire an INDIAN VISA without the need to visit the embassy office physically. With the implementation of Electronic Travel Authorization by the Indian Government, more than 180 countries, including the USA, Canada, the US, Netherlands, France, and others, can now apply for Visa through online portals without the necessity of physical stamp on the passport. It just takes around 2 to 3 days for the entire processing of eVisa.

But there are specific criteria for foreign visitors to be able to apply for eVisa. The foreign visitors are allowed to apply for Indian Visa through the electronic travel authorization scheme only for five purposes. These purposes include short term courses, recreation, business, tourism, and medical treatment. These are the prime categories, whereas there are some subcategories to it as well.

The Indian Immigration authorities associated with the support of eVisa states that the foreigners need to produce usual or eVisa before entering the Indian premises. With the introduction of eVisa, the travelers can now easily take a print of the copy of eVisa as a legal Visa proof. Indian eVisa is now one of the most trustworthy modes of visiting India. It is so because of its secure and accessible platform introduced by the Indian Government.

For applying on to eVisa, the eligibility criteria include passport validity of at least six months, a debit or credit card, and an email id. Some of the restrictions associated with eVisa include that a traveler can avail for eVisa only three times a year. The eVisa holders cannot put up a request for extending its duration. The travelers must have the return tickets booked for confirming the approval of the Visa.
