Charity + Power Shows Clients the Power of Philanthropy

Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles based utilities broker Charity + Power is revolutionizing its industry by donating a guaranteed portion of a customer’s utility bill to a 501(c)(3) organization of their choice.

As a retail electric broker, Charity+Power has contracted with multiple electric and natural gas suppliers to provide electricity and natural gas to its customers, which enables it to negotiate with its suppliers for a great price in order to maximize donations.  In negotiating with its suppliers, Charity+Power’s objective is to remain competitive with the customer’s current utility provider and, at the same time, maximize donations to nonprofit organizations.  The customer’s current utility provider remains responsible for maintaining its utility infrastructure and its response to any utility outages.  In other words, when you “flick the switch” you will see no change in your current utility service.

Customers interested in purchasing 100% solar energy, have the option to participate in our community solar program.  This allows the customer to support their favorite non-profit organization and, at the same time, benefit the environment by consuming 100% renewable energy.

Charity+Power operates in states that allow either electric or natural gas retail competition or have in place community solar programs (see if your community qualifies).  However, its list of service areas is growing, and the company offers a waiting list for clients interested in other states. Once joined, the company will notify everyone who is interested that the service is available in their state.

Our motto is “You want to donate, we make it easy.”  Enrolling is a three-step process.  First, the customer enters their zip code to confirm they are located in an area we serve.  Second, the customer selects a charity, which may be their child’s school, a community or national organization, or any registered 501(c)(3) organization.  Third, the customer selects a rate plan.  The customer also has the option of participating in a community solar program.  It’s that easy!

As Charity + Power grows in network, so does its ability to increase its donations and spread goodwill. Electricity and natural gas are a necessary commodity in the United States (the customer cannot avoid paying their utility bill), so why not switch to Charity+Power for a good cause? When customers decide to switch to Charity + Power, they are choosing to create a better world, one step at a time.
